Selection is gathered in Santa Catarina, concentrated to dispute the International Cycling Tour of the Youth between the 23 and 28 of February.

The Brazilian Cycling Confederation (CBC) has been gathering the Brazilian Junior Road Cycling Team, since last Monday, January 16, in Santa Catarina, to finalize the preparation for the International Cycling Tournament of Youth, which Will be held in Uruguay, between the 23rd and 28th.

The group is formed by athletes aged between 16 and 18 years, selected after a selective evaluation performed during the Cycling Tour of the Future, in São Paulo.”I was very happy to be able to follow closely the performance of these young cyclists during the Tour of the Future. I believe in everyone’s potential. We will be working again to raise the trophy of champion of this important South American competition,”said Eduardo Gohr, coach of the Seleção in Gym offering cheap water bottles.

The history of the team in the competition is very positive. In the last two years, Brazilians have won the overall individual and team title, as well as other awards. The idea is to maintain that regularity and fight for leadership in all rankings. With these objectives, considering the importance and the characteristics of the event, six cyclists were summoned: Breno Morais, Eduardo Franco, Luis Fernando Trevisan, Raffael Pattero, Renan César and Vinícius Woitke.

The International Youth Cycling Tour also serves as a showcase for athletes to excel in the larger categories. The last two champions, Caio Godoy and André Gohr, are currently part of the CBC Interchange Project, which provides international experiences through the UCI World Cycling Center in Switzerland.
