Ahh care me about this article: here’s the 2nd part of the saga “hip boots and waders.

Many fishermen still hesitate between the two but some time ago, I was very surprised by the results of this survey which you can still answer:

As you can see, the majority of fishermen there who responded said they used some waders.

In my last article on waders CAPERLAN initially quickly my opinion on the use of waders: “I prefer for my part fishing in waders than waders!”. I’ll give you in this articles the different reasons that determine my choice. YES, the wading is interesting in certain circumstances or for certain sins like the nymph to the wire but it has its limits…Reviews of Waders

1 – The leg straps for a reason of price

It is above all a question of price that I fish in eyelet. I find the exorbitant price of a pair of breathable waders! I fish a lot and especially I have to spend in critical locations (Brambles, dense vegetation, wood,…), I’m not alone with a pair of waders to 400 on me.

Then for a few years, I fish with cheap waders in PVC.

At the time it was in Franc, now it is € 29.95 for the START at Decathlon waders that I pay for 3-5 years of active fishing!

The PVC is a little hot in the summer in full sun but you you dip once every hour history of you refresh so really you cook. At worst, there is also a at Taimen breathable waders but they will remain more fragile than PVC.

2 – The simplicity of the waders

Once more, when I go fishing, I go fishing. I maximally simplifies things vests, 3 spools of wires in the Pocket, 2 boxes fly in the other, the net stuck in the pants AND it IS PARTIES I fish while you are only trying to hang your straps! Yes it’s some causes but in a world where everyone run these little things make the difference sometimes.

You will understand, the pair of waders take much space and above all it is easy to use. Quick to put on and wading shoes. On top of that, the pair of waders does not have a particular technique of folding and drying.Reviews of Waders 1

3. ” a big trout Tracker does not waders, fishing in shorts or swim .”«

As Zanella explains very well in his interview ” Zanella, all its secrets to lure the biggest trout of France”, when you attack a big trout, be prepared to go to the stock at any time. “Zanella was able to take trout on the lower Ain river that many fishermen have lost. This is just one example which must reflect on the importance of being ready to go to the fleet when you attack big fish.

2nd thing before getting the chance to hit a monster, you have to approach it! If you go into the water, the chances of Grill you the fat you want to attack 5 m higher but by the catch you’ve not seen and which gave the alert at the moment or you entered the water. So remember that you must enter the water only if you don’t have any other solutions.

Last thing, you are much more visible in waders in eyelet. On the one hand, the majority of waders are unfortunately colored (designed for sea fishing), on the other hand they do not allow you be completely camouflaged. The waders ‘reboulées’ in boot let your visible camouflage clothing.

4 – Waders can kill!

You tell me if I can fish in eyelet, I can very well do fishing in ANDYEDUCATION.COM and approach the same fish while remaining on the Bank. Yes but it is much safe to jump into the water to swim in waders month!

Often I go back my waders as to make boots. I hang it on my pants only when I want to go in the water. There is a risk of drowning with the waders : If you drag or you lose your balance, you’re left ass in the water (it is the case to say), then your waders fill with water starting with the feet. If you have more foot by bad luck, waders draw you to the bottom and drown.

If you find yourself in this situation, don’t panic, you let go lying on the surface waiting to touch up the riverbank.

Here is an interesting article on ” drowning in waders’ to complete my remarks specifically.”Reviews of Waders 2

5 – The wading hurt our rivers.

This is the main reason why this article had me at heart. The APPMA there which forbid the waders on their course. Others strictly prohibit to enter water and this entire year (not just before the opening of the shadow like a lot).

You probably know, most of the life of a river is determined by what lining the bottom (spawning, larvae, shoots of riffles,…). There are many examples, fear of the on attendance of kayakers, we’re concerned when we see the bottom plug is short we know the importance of the bottom of our rivers. So why Wade as? I find too many fishermen are floundering for nothing. There are very sins courses who suffer by this excessive practice of the wading. The populations of trout and shadows are very sensitive to this.

I myself recall of some gravel in Goumois who were very fishy before the opening of the shadow and who became deserted after when fishermen can go back in the water.

Intermediate solutions

Several years I fishing exclusively in eyelet or without anything but I still tested some time wading on the one hand to test the Caperlan range on the other hand to prospect new positions at the start of season. But I always reboule my waders for the equivalent of pants.

The shots I access more easily to my boxes of nymphs, my net short it’s much more discreet than my waders to get closer to trout (I’ll do an article soon on the importance of camouflage).

To achieve a complete article, I’ve found another intermediary between waders and the waders: THE Short Whitewater Waist Fishing Waders. I have not tested, but the idea is not bad I think. It seems to me that other brands offer this intermediary.

CONCLUSION

Beyond the price, I saw so many benefits to the waders. I fish yet averages rivers to the ratafouillette and nymph to the wire with no problems. If you hesitate, I think that now your choice goes to a pair of eyelet.

The ideal eyelet for me would be the one that we could turn into a boot by folding / reboulant the top when it does not fit in the water with a pressure to the knees system…. If product managers read me he will know that I will be a fan.

If you belong to the majority of fisherman who have some waders, is it you please limit at least go in the water. Less you enter the water more you have chance to fish today but especially tomorrow.

And you, what do you use and why?Reviews of Waders 3
