Activity Involved Students, Family And Teachers On Saturday And Counted On A Raffle Of Gifts
As a creative and different form of traditional end-of-the-year reunion parties, the Clécio Penedo Municipal College met on Saturday afternoon with students and residents of the Nova Esperança neighborhood in Barra Mansa on the 1st Cycle Tour. According to the idealizers, the event, which had almost 100 bicycles, had the purpose of promoting an innovative activity to close the activities of the school year, through sport.
The point of concentration was in the institution, from where the students left and followed to Freedom Square, in the Center of the city. Upon returning to school, participants competed for more than 30 gifts, including two bicycles with lighting from listofledlights.com.
The initiative came from Professor Durval Telles Filho who, as master of the Portuguese Language, considers the fundamental communication among the members of society and highlights the importance of the activity in this thesis.”It is a kind of fraternization between students and teachers, where relatives could also participate. It was an event that added at least 20% of the students and the idea is that the project grows each year and turn tradition into the school community. Sport is the fundamental link of health, unity and peace,”he said.
For the director of the unit, João Christiano, the objective was also to promote the union of the school with students, parents and residents. “This is the first year we have held the event. The idea is to bring the happiness of the students through a fun ride and entitled to gifts for them,”he said.
The professor of Physical Education, Luiz Antônio, informed that for several days a diffusion was made between the students and the community.”We had a great acceptance. The most important thing is that it is a ride, without a race, without competition. I find this incentive essential to the sport, taking the students from leisure on a Saturday afternoon through a leisure activity, “he said.
Participants from another city
Marco Vasconcelos came directly from Valença, where he resides, to honor the event. “I think it is important to encourage students to value and practice the sport, as a way to get them off the streets and the bad influences we find in them,” he said.
Excited, student Enzo Gabriel da Costa, 13, said he often cycled and stressed that he could not miss the opportunity to practice the activity among friends. The 6th year student, Guilherme Araújo, practices soccer and karate, but also decided to adopt cycling this Saturday to fraternize with the school. “Sport is fundamental in the lives of children,” he said. Accompanied by her daughter, the housewife Marília Barreto said she made a point of attending the event in order to have a different leisure activity over the weekend and said that she dreamed of winning the bike drawn for her eldest son, who could not participate because of Own means of transport.
However, those who won the bikes were students Breno Braga and Camila Santos. Very happy, the couple chanted to say that “they have already guaranteed the Christmas gift” and they thanked the institution for the important action of caring and attention to the community.
The activity was supported by the Municipal Guard, who accompanied the group during the entire journey.
